I had foaled her dam for my friend numerous times. Most of the foals lived with us until they left to be trained. This filly, who I nicknamed ZZ – a short version of her registered name –, moved to a boarding stable when she was about two weeks old. ZZ was a healthy foal who didn’t require anything other than the typical newborn care at birth.
I had begun communicating with animals by the time ZZ arrived on our farm. It was wonderful to be able to explain to such a youngster about trailering to her new home. In the past, we’d practically have to pick a foal up to get it loaded onto a horse trailer. Now, I could tell them about the horse trailer, which I referred to as “the big box,” and why they needed to get on it. Each time, I’d be amazed when the foal willing walked into the big box with their mother following behind. There was no longer any resistance, anxiety, or fear.
As ZZ got older, she displayed a fear of my husband, her vet, and injections. I didn’t understand why because she hadn’t received lots of injections like many of the sick foals in our hospital. Over time, ZZ became more and more dangerous to handle. No amount of communicating with her was helping even if I accompanied my husband on the farm call. I felt so bad for ZZ and worried for the safety of anyone holding her as my husband tried to work on her.
Based on her short life’s history, I knew these fears had to be coming from past life traumas. I advised my friend that we should do Spiritual Response Therapy (SRT) for ZZ. My friend was all for it. She’d been present on our farm to witness many of the successes I’d achieved using this powerful form of spiritual healing. I cleared ZZ of negative past life influences that were affecting her behavior. She improved right away, but over time she regressed, so I cleared new negative influences that had been triggered. This happened several times. Eventually with SRT, ZZ was about 80% improved. She wasn’t the danger that she’d been before, but she still was very wary of the vet.
When ZZ was three years old, we got a call about a serious cut that she’d suffered on her face. We rushed to help her, but she was so unmanageable that we asked them ship her to our hospital. We used our operating table to restrain her in order to suture the large, nasty cut on her face. I was so frustrated that my communicating wasn’t enough to gain her cooperation. Once again, I cleared her with SRT knowing her injury and visit to our operating room triggered more past life issues.
About a year later, my husband mentioned that ZZ was developing a “bad” attitude for more than just vet work. Apparently whenever she didn’t want to do something, she’d turn her hindquarters and threaten to kick. This was the first I’d heard anything about her in a long time. I had mistakenly assumed “no news was good news.”
I had recently completed coursework for a new form of spiritual healing introduced by the creator of SRT. Spiritual Brain Repatterning (SBR) worked with present life cellular programs. Prior to its creation, I didn’t have a modality that worked on a soul level for present life constraints. Given my background as a pharmacist, I was always skeptical when introduced to new and innovative forms of spiritual healing. Knowing this, the Universe always provided me with the perfect teacher.
Hearing about ZZ’s declining attitude and threatening behavior, I called my friend and asked to try SBR on ZZ. I made no promises, since this was a new concept for me. She understood and was open to the idea and anxious for me to give it a shot. I did Spiritual Brain Repatterning for ZZ not knowing what to expect. The week after her repatterning ZZ was due for some vaccinations. I figured this would be a great test of the effectiveness of SBR. I joined my husband on the farm call so I could see the results first-hand.
