Every person in a horse as healer business, whether just starting out or already established, will be delighted to find one of the rare books written on how to make that business succeed. Lifelong horsewoman and experienced business owner Ariana Strozzi equips the reader with concise information on required skill sets, effective training, business plans and implementation steps, including a chapter on choosing a facility and choosing the horses.

The Equine Guided Educator supports clients through a learning process using experiential exercises with horses. As most equestrians know, the horse has an ability to read the human’s inner state of mind, revealing that person’s core emotional issues in a way that goes beyond regular therapy or coaching. Equine Assisted Coaching or Guided Education is an emerging field that has been growing rapidly since the 1980’s and this book provides a much-needed map for professionals committed to the work.

Many of the chapters, such as those on finances, marketing and administration, can also be applied to other equine-related businesses. The book is packed with practical information aimed at business prosperity and designed to help you take action right away. It also offers heartfelt vision and a keen understanding of the emotional and spiritual motivations to see this powerful work succeed around the world.

Ariana Strozzi, an internationally respected pioneer in the ‘Horse as Healer / Teacher’ professions, is co-founder of the Equine Guided Education Association and Strozzi Institute. She holds numerous equine championships in dressage, eventing, and reining. Visit Ariana at www.skyhorseranch.com

Thank you for your question Savannah! The first five chapters are definitely specific to horse as teacher/healer professions. The remaining ten chapters, though, deal with topics like successful skill sets of a business owner, preparing a business plan, permits, licenses, finances, marketing and administration. Lots of great general questions to ask yourself on identifying your market and how your biz will best serve your customers. I found this information to be useful to any horse-related business!
    Warm wishes, Carol

This nook looks wonderful and amazing and I am recommending it to a few friends who are starting up guided programs with horses as healers for youth.

My question is, does this have good knowledge and information for any horse business? I own and run a horse "healing" business and it seem I could get a lot too out of this book, but I wanted to know what you thought.
